What is a SDBTT Umbrella Fund?

Regular supporters who are either raising money in memory of a loved one, or who are doing so for someone living with a brain tumour, can decide to become an SDBTT umbrella group. This allows the group to raise funds using the name of their loved one but under the 'umbrella' of the Charity. Funds raised are restricted and once credited to the account cannot be withdrawn by the umbrella group.

Once a significant sum has been raised we offer each group the opportunity to say how they would like this money spent, whether this be on a research project or in the area of patient support.

Umbrella Groups can use the Trust's registered Charity Number for fundraising purposes. We provide as much support as we can to help them become successful fundraisers. Many of the groups listed on the left-hand side of this page have raised significant sums, whilst other groups have only recently be set up and are in the process of organising their first fundraising events.
